Plein Air Painting Event
Tuesday June 13 - Sunday June 18
The SSSF consists in part of a 5-day plein air (or "outdoor") painting event open to 30 seasoned or novice painters culminating in a juried art show.
Weekend Events: Concerts, Dance, Speakers, and Outdoor Activities
Friday June 16 - Sunday June 18
An exciting lineup of events awaits the public from Friday to Sunday:
- A concert series celebrating various genres of American Roots music performed by critically acclaimed artists from throughout the Eastern US,
- dance performances and classes (social dancing during the concerts is welcome too!)
- wide-ranging presentations from authors, scientists and historians,
- outdoor and kids activities such as a river paddle, art projects, and kite flying
